Hi, I’m Kayla. It’s nice to meet you.

I’m a Boston-based artist who specializes in the gracefully weird. I believe that fantasy can help us better understand reality, and I enjoy dreaming up new worlds. I love magical girls, ensemble theater, non-humans trying really hard to be human, mental health awareness, punk rock, and space operas.

I recently graduated from Northeastern University, where I earned my Master’s in English and trained in a variety of voice and movement techniques for theatre. Currently, I’m publishing a journal of feminist fairy tales for my independent press and developing an immersive, ensemble-based adaptation of Hamlet.

No matter what I’m working on, I try to live up to this philosophy from Viewpoints: “listen, pay attention, be open, change, respond, surprise yourself, use accidents, and work with fearlessness and abandon and an open heart.”
